✅ Compatible Cameras

SecurifyHQ works with most professional IP cameras that support RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) — the industry standard used by reputable security camera brands. If your cameras use RTSP, the chances are high that we can integrate them.

💡 Already Have Cameras Installed?

If you have an existing CCTV system installed at your India property — even if it was set up years ago — there's a good chance we can integrate it. This includes older analog camera setups connected to a DVR. Send us your camera or DVR brand and model during signup and we'll confirm compatibility at no charge before you proceed.

❌ Cameras We Cannot Support

Some popular consumer cameras are designed as closed, cloud-only ecosystems. They do not expose an RTSP stream, meaning no third-party monitoring platform can connect to them — not just SecurifyHQ, but any professional monitoring service.

🔴
Ring
Amazon ecosystem only. No RTSP access. Works only through Ring's own app.
✗ Not Compatible
🔴
Google Nest
Google ecosystem only. No open streaming access for third-party integration.
✗ Not Compatible
🔴
Amazon Blink
Amazon-only platform. Closed ecosystem without RTSP or ONVIF protocol support.
✗ Not Compatible
🔴
Wyze
Consumer-only cloud system. RTSP support was discontinued. Cannot integrate.
✗ Not Compatible

⚠️ Why Can't We Support These?

These brands intentionally lock their cameras to their own apps and cloud platforms. They don't allow external access to the video stream — it's a deliberate design choice, not a technical limitation on our end. If your property currently uses these cameras, we'll recommend an upgrade path during your consultation.

🔌 What Makes a Camera Compatible?

In simple terms: if a camera supports RTSP or ONVIF, we can almost certainly work with it. Here's what that means.

📶 Internet Requirements

Your India property needs a stable internet connection. Here's exactly what you need — and what common India providers can support.

Setup Size Cameras Minimum Upload Speed Recommended Upload Speed
Small 2–3 cameras 6 Mbps upload 10 Mbps upload
Medium 4–6 cameras 10 Mbps upload 15–20 Mbps upload
Large 7–12 cameras 20 Mbps upload 30–40 Mbps upload

Common India Providers — At a Glance

Provider Plan Type Typical Upload Suitable For
Jio Fiber (50–100 Mbps plan) Fiber broadband 50–100 Mbps ✓ Excellent — most setups
Airtel Xstream Fiber Fiber broadband 40–200 Mbps ✓ Excellent — most setups
BSNL Bharat Fiber Fiber broadband 20–50 Mbps ✓ Good for small/medium setups
Local Cable / DSL Cable/DSL 5–20 Mbps ⚠ Check upload speed first
4G/5G Mobile Hotspot Mobile data Variable ✗ Not recommended (unreliable)

📌 Important: Upload Speed Is What Matters

Most internet plans advertise download speed, but for camera monitoring you need upload speed — because your cameras send video out. Jio Fiber and Airtel Fiber plans are symmetric or near-symmetric, meaning upload speeds are similar to download. We'll test your connection during setup and flag any issues before going live.

🔧 What's Included in the Setup Fee?

The one-time setup fee is not just for a visit — it covers hardware, professional configuration, and secure integration. Here's a breakdown of what you actually receive.

💼 The Hardware Is Yours

Unlike some providers who retain ownership of installed equipment, the networking hardware we install at your property belongs to you from day one. If you ever cancel our service, the hardware stays — you can use it independently or with another provider. We believe in transparency, not lock-in.

🌏 Why World-Standard Pricing?

We understand the question: why are you paying New Zealand rates for a service operating in India? Here's the honest answer.

🏢

Registered NZ Company

SecurifyHQ is a legally registered New Zealand company (Company #9405543), operating under NZ company law. That means formal accountability, proper governance, and recourse if things go wrong — not an informal arrangement.

📋

Professional Operations

Our monitoring follows structured procedures — documented escalation protocols, incident reporting, shift handovers, and quality controls. We don't wing it. The operational overhead of running things properly costs what it costs.

🛡️

Enterprise-Grade Infrastructure

We use professional-grade hardware, encrypted connections, and a purpose-built monitoring platform — not consumer apps running on someone's laptop. Infrastructure that works reliably at 3am costs more than infrastructure that works sometimes.

👁️

Real Human Monitoring

Every verified alert is reviewed by a trained operator — not an algorithm that sends you a push notification. Human attention and trained judgment have a cost, and we don't cut corners on this because it's the core of what makes our service worth having.

📞

Structured Escalation

When an alert is verified, we don't just email you. We follow an escalation chain — contacting your designated contacts in order, coordinating local response if needed, and documenting everything. That's a professional service, not a notification app.

💡

You Pay for Peace of Mind

Cheap services exist in India. Many of them go offline, have inconsistent response, or disappear when something serious happens. Our clients — most of them NRIs who can't respond in person — pay for the confidence that their property is genuinely being watched.

💰 Is It Worth It?

A full-time security guard in India costs INR 15,000–25,000/month (NZ$285–475). SecurifyHQ starts at NZ$50/month — with 24/7 coverage across all cameras, human-verified alerts, and documented incident records. For most NRIs, it's not even a close comparison.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about compatibility, setup, and costs.

Do I need to buy new cameras for SecurifyHQ?
Not necessarily. SecurifyHQ works with most standard IP cameras that support RTSP — the industry-standard protocol used by Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, Reolink, TP-Link Tapo, and many others. If you already have compatible cameras installed, we can integrate them directly. We'll confirm compatibility during your initial consultation.
Why doesn't SecurifyHQ work with Ring or Google Nest cameras?
Ring, Google Nest, Amazon Blink, and similar cloud-only cameras are designed to work exclusively within their own closed ecosystems. They do not support RTSP or any open streaming protocol, which means third-party professional monitoring platforms cannot connect to them. To use SecurifyHQ, you need cameras with RTSP support.
What internet speed do I need?
We recommend approximately 2–3 Mbps upload per camera for reliable monitoring. For a 4-camera setup, aim for at least 10 Mbps upload. Most Jio Fiber and Airtel Fiber plans in India comfortably meet this. We'll review your connection during setup and advise on any adjustments needed before going live.
What does the setup fee cover?
The setup fee covers the professional networking hardware we install at your property, full system configuration, camera integration, encrypted remote access setup, end-to-end testing, and handover documentation. The hardware — which forms the bulk of the cost — belongs to you and stays at your property permanently.
Can I use wireless cameras?
Yes, provided the camera supports RTSP streaming. Many wireless cameras from Reolink, TP-Link Tapo, and other brands include RTSP support. However, for critical security monitoring we generally recommend at least some wired cameras for reliability. We'll advise on the right mix for your property.
What if my cameras aren't listed here?
Our compatibility list covers the most common brands but isn't exhaustive. If your camera brand or model isn't listed, send us the details and we'll check. The key question is simply: does it support RTSP? If yes, there's a very high chance we can integrate it.
How long does the setup take?
A typical setup takes half a day to a full day, depending on camera count and property layout. We coordinate with you (or your local contact) in India to arrange the installation visit. We do the technical work — you don't need to be there in person if you're overseas.
